Caravan Holiday - Stanthorpe

We mini break out to Stanthorpe - the true reason for the trip is to drop off some quilt tops to Julie and to collect a couple of finished ones.

Walking around town had us finding murals and arty things - we are always drawn to these and love coming across them..

Do you think someone deliberately put the yellow bin under the yellow dressed person and the same for the red?

I love this mosaic - I took some closer photos to show off the details but I would need to have taken so many to show off everything.  You will just need to be happy with a couple of close ups.

We headed up to the look out to watch the sunset and eat our dinner...nothing exciting for dinner - Red Rooster tonight and no, I did not enjoy it.  I have no idea why we eat at some places when we know we don't really like their foods.  Anyhow the sunset was gorgeous..

We ventured to the local markets to see what interesting items need to come home with us..
The markets were held at the town called Wallangarra, at the railway station.  The railway station sits on the border for NSW and QLD.  It is also home to a museum and cafe..  Not what we were expecting but a nice surprise..

Amy has been up to again - I open my wallet and find I have a stow away - these characters keep turning up when unexpected... just remember Amy, revenge is sweet.  lol

One the way back to Stanthorpe, we called into Jamworks - had morning tea and made a purchase or two..

Lily came with us on our holiday, she always enjoys the caravan and thinks it is her house... sometimes a little too comfortable...

My purchases from the weekend .

We had another fabulous weekend and it has been lovely playing tourist in a town that is not too far away.. I am always surprised by what one can find when venturing around a small town..  We live in a wonderful country..
Cheers
xx
