Hastings Point

Last week, hubby and I spent a few days visiting friends at Hastings Point, NSW..
We both love this area and could quite easily live here permanently...mmm maybe one day ("she's dreamin" is being heard in my head)..
Anyhow I took these photos of the beach..
The water was absolutely brilliant... I love the beach, always feel at home on the sand..
Jimmy, Dale, Wayne and me (not in the photo) taking a stroll along the beach..
We droved up to a look out - I think it was at Cabarita Beach (the next beach north from where we were staying.. and even though it was a cloudy day, the water was amazing..
Hubby finding a pretty spot to enjoy the view..
At the top of the look-out - The beach to the north - the photo doesn't do it justice to the colour of the water..
Beaches to the south of the look-out - Hastings Beach - such a crowded beach..
We headed to Mullumbimby for dinner at  The Commercial Hotel..  What a great old pub, all meals were $15 and I had the Fisherman's Basket which was delicious..
I loved reading up on the old pub - it was build in 1904.. boy it must have seen some history..
A trendy section of the pub... not where we sat...
Another interesting are of the pub, still not where we sat..
Now this is where we sat - at the fancy high backed antique chair spot...lol  One look at the chairs and we all went - "We sit here"..  These chairs were very comfortable - I wonder how many I can fit in my car..
The following day - besides the morning beach swim, and the four swims in the resorts pools, we managed to head to the movies..  We ended up at a shopping centre at Tweed Heads and saw Jumanji 2.  This is a great cinema - the 'normal' seats are just like gold class lounges that electronically recline but without the gold class price - we paid $10 for a ticket..  Nice - another bargain..
Great movie - gotta love The Rock...
We both had an amazing time while on our 'mini break' and I am already wishing we were back there..
Oh and Kaylee - did you see me hang out the window of the car and wave as I drove past... I'm sorry I didn't reply to your message, I didn't see it until we had returned home..

Hope you are all having a fabulous new year...
